Principles of Plant Growth, Health and Applied Propagation

The course consists of the following four lessons:

Lesson 1 – Plant Taxonomy, Structure and Function

Lesson 2 – The Root Environment, Plant Nutrition & Growing Systems

Lesson 3 – The Management of Plant Health

Lesson 4 – Understanding Applied Plant Propagation

Entry Requirements:

No formal entry requirements but it is recommended that you have successfully completed RHS Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Plant Growth, Propagation and Development or similar before starting on this course.

Assignments: An assignment at the end of each lesson – as you complete each lesson, your tutor will return your marked assignment with constructive feedback and guidance.

Exams: 

This course is a 4-lesson study programme of preparation for the RHS examination. Entry to the exams is a separate process with an additional fee. There is a deadline for examination entry. Each unit (lesson) will be assessed by a separate written examination – all four exams are on the same day. Examinations must be taken under arrangements for exceptional supervision agreed by RHS Qualifications. Examinations will be offered twice a year in February and June at specific times, which you can find here

Prison Support Requirements:

Support learners to progress through the materials and complete assignments. Support facilitation of exams/invigilation in prison in accordance with RHS exam specification. Examinations in prison must be taken under arrangements for exceptional supervision agreed by RHS Qualifications.
