Certificate in Mentoring

The course consists of 10 lessons:

  1. Defining and describing the mentoring process
  2. Making sense of mentoring
  3. Mentoring in the corporate and professional world
  4. Mentoring in the community
  5. Essential mentor qualities
  6. Essential skills in mentoring
  7. Self-awarness: including defining the relationship
  8. Issues of integrity: including “what if things go wrong?”
  9. Code of ethics in mentoring
  10. Mentoring as a way of life

Entry Requirements: None

Assignments: Five tutor-marked assessments (every two units), and a series of self-tests.

Exams: None

Prison Support Requirements: Support learners to submit assessments; support in supplying additional information or resources from online in order to complete assessments.

Tutor Support: Yes

What’s Next? Certificate in Coaching, which combined with this qualification, makes up a Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring from the Institute of Counselling.
