Introduction to Canine Psychology

The course consists of 4 units:

  1. Relationships: Natural behaviours, pack rules, early learning, fun and games
  2. Food and Exercise: What the dog needs, different feeding methods, labels, when and how to change the diet, the value of exercise
  3. Building the Bond: Early influences, the stages of puppyhood, juvenile and adolescent dogs, training for everyday life, the special needs of the rescue dog
  4. Problem Behaviour: What is it, health effects on the owner, owner errors, punishment, ways of putting things right

Entry Requirements: None

Assignments: Four in total, one for each unit.

Exams: None
