Pathways to Progression: Easing the Transition into Further and Higher Education

9 Jun 2017

FREE EVENT: Cardiff Metropolitan University, 9 June, 10 am - 3.30 pm

Colleges and universities promote equality of opportunity for all and welcome applications from a wide range of learners, including those with criminal convictions. However the journey to become a student does not always run smooth. The application process, student finance, study skills support, risk assessment, student services and more must be overcome before a student even starts.

This event will give you the opportunity to hear from different projects, touching on topics including learning on ROTL, distance learning and the University of Goldsmith's Open Book project. It is a unique opportunity to examine how ex-prisoners can access further and higher education, both after release and on licence.

Places are limited. Apply here.
